I've been reading the posts under genearl health trying to find some answers to the recent bout of leg cramps I've been experiencing. This is my first week LCing and they've come as quite a shock (I have always been VERY active, cycling, cross training etc, and never suffer from leg cramps).

As a general precaution I started taking a multi-vitamin and calcium a few days after I began LCing. Unfortunately I chose calcium carbonate (from crushed oysters) with vitamin D. From what I've read on here today, I am now wodering, should I toss the calcarb and get a calcium/magnesium supplement? I am also taking (as of 1 hour ago) potassium (300mg). Also, re the NoSalt, is it available in Canada?

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks,
Nat

Actually, we've had several recent discussions on Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium, but in another forum. Next time, try using the Search function; the icon is at the top right of every forum page... :)

Anyway, check these out :

As for the NoSalt ... it is indeed widely available in Canada, as well as Half Salt, which is as the name implies, half regular and half potassium salt. You can find them both in any grocery store where they sell the regular salt. Even NoFrills carries it. I buy the NoSalt, and mix it 50:50 with natural sea salt.

Thanks, Doreen. I had read two of those threads and I have been making extensive use of the search function. I just wanted to hear "Yes, you silly person, throw them away and buy some more"

Bulk Barn just loves me... Off I go to spend more money!!

thx,
