How much have you lost being on South Beach and in what period of time. If you started with another program, how much did you lose when you switched over..not before.

Curious to see if it works since it is an option I am thinking about once I get closer to goal since I cannot see myself doing Atkins for life.

Now if only we could convince the powers that be to create a South Beach forum.

I am doing the South Beach Diet (kinda) I use the recipes that are low carb and use the guidebook everytime I go shopping. I am however eating more fats than the diet calls for. I am still in induction and today is my 7th day. I have lost 7.5 lbs. My personal daily carb plan is under 20 (as close to 15 as possible) I also picked up Dr. Atkins (newer) book at the store last night and I am on Chapter 3. So since I am following both (in a way) my best friend says I am on the Atkins South Beach Vacation Diet...LOL (sorry had to add that!)

Here is a South Beach forum, you might post your question to those people. (Many of them switched to SB from other diets.)

I didnt care for that forum. I like ours way better! Thanks for suggesting though. I had two others that I checked out over in the UK but it didnt have a good setup. I guess I just love the community I have found here.

I would like to see a South Beach Forum here too, I really love this site, so many friendly people and tons of lo-carb info.

I'm just starting South Beach trying to lose the last 15 lbs to my goal. I like it because it steers me away from too many saturated fats, and I seem to incorporate more veggies into my day, with this plan. We'll see how it goes, good luck to anyone following this plan, hope to see your posts and progress here!

So does someone need to write a letter or petition?

I agree with the others...despite South Beach not being totally LC it is LOWER Carb and should have its own forum. Come on Admins.....at least try it and see if it gets popular :)

Thanks

I would suggest someone sends a Mod or Admin a PM asking this very question? That way they are at least aware of the request. Hopefully that way if they say no you should at least get an answer of why.

Oh and in the PM might be worth linking to a number of SB threads as reference...

I made a request in the comments forum to at least try and get the ball rolling. Please go add to it anything you may have in support of your argument.
