My dear sister Debbie past away lastnight. She had been on a liver transplant list for over 10 years. She was only 44.. Being a major drinker before LCing, this is truly a test of dealing with horrible times without turning to the bottle I must say.Man, this is hard..At least now she is no longer in anymore pain.. May God bless you SIS..

Hi Angel,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. :there: Yes, 44 is way too young to leave us.
Please do post here whenever you feel the need for support.
I'll be thinking of you and your sister. May you have the strength to get through this without too many problems.

Angel,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss, but please don't allow yourself to get back into the bottle. You know that will not help you or your sister.
I will keep you in my prayers, that you will find some Peace in this terrible time.
Take Care,
Joan

My heart goes out to you Angel and this time of year only makes it harder. My sister 58 is also on the transplant list for a liver (2 yrs on list), her's from too many years of drinking destroyed her liver.
PLEASE DON'T go to the bottle for comfort! It won't help! Go WALK outside in the cold, and cry if it helps, alcohol is not the answer!
May God give you the strength to get through this and help comfort you.
Your children need you, you say in your profile how they are beautiful, hold them, they will give you strength too! Take care!

My sister was a drinker, therego her liver problem. My 4 children are my rock.Awful enough I never thought I had a drinking problem till I had quit..I see now how I turned to it whenever things were bad.As for the past 4 months I no longer think of it till this happened.
Im sorry to hear about your sister SeeMyself.I will keep her in my prayers for sure.. Take care everyone and once again thank you.

From coming from a large family, my sister was looking for a partial live liver transplant, and needless to say, my older brother was tested and dropped at the end, and they didn't even ask me, they know, knew I like my drink also..... our addictions can be very hard on our bodies.
Be strong....

Sounds like it's in the family. This is a hard one to beat alone; plenty of people in plenty of 12-Step programs have been through similar situations and can offer you a real live hand and shoulder.
Not at all incompatible with prayer, either.
