I am into my 3rd week of HST and work out Thur,Sat and Mon. I
came down with the flu this past tuesday and am still far from
100%. My question is when I resume working out, should I
continue at the weights I was scheduled to do on Thursday or
should I back it up a bit.

I suspect your body will want time to heal , first lift at to
high a weight will let you know .

So you're in the middle of the 10s.....I'd just start
the 10s over.

I would take a full two weeks off and then start all over.

From my reading of the HST programs I've seen, it's not the
exact numbers or precise dates that are so important. Those
are mostly to give you a sensible and easy-to-follow plan.
HST is mostly about the science - that when you lift the
same weights the same amount of times for a number of days
your body/neurology becomes adapted and will not grow
muscle. To change this, HST gives you a map of how to do
successive workouts where you are primarily increasing the
weight each time.
In this light, it would seem that either starting where you
left off or restarting the 10s would be just fine. If you were
in a scientific study, one approach may lead to .05 ounce more
lean tissue in the end, but most likely there's no need to get
too worked up about it.
If the flu really knocked you out, starting at the beginning
of the mini-cycle might be better, since you'll prolly still
be feeling the effects of the illness in exercise even after
the symptoms have mostly left, and the lighter weights may be
easier to manage, imho.

I basically agree, but think you should do light weights for a
couple of weeks to gauge your recovery. When your strength is
back, then take a week or so off and start over.
