The bread mix is not very low carb……it works out to about 8g per slice assuming 15 slices from a 500g loaf. I did some tweaking by subbing 100g of the bread mix with an equivalent weight of linseed meal, WPI and almond meal and added a couple of teaspoons of oil. It was the best tasting low carb bread I’ve had so far and worked out to 6g per slice.

This bread mix has only been on the market for about 2-3 months and was brought out due to demand from low carbers. It costs $6.99 for 1.5kg bag.

They have stores in Perth, Victoria and one in the ACT but the ACT store delivers to NSW I think. Their website is www.bakeit.com.au

Hi guys..

Thought I'd let you know for those interested and those that aren't into baking like me :D I just bought LC Bread for $4.95 at a health food store...

It has 7.4g per slice and it is actually YUMMOOO....I have been bread deprived for some time as you can see :lol:

It is baked by Ovenellis Pty Ltd (T/A Sydney's Upper Crust Bakery)

Let me stand corrected..the bread actually has 4.8g per slice not 7.4g...don't know what I was reading.... :doah:

and I still stand by the YUUUMMMOOO bit :yum: LOL....
