I've done the atkins diet twice with MAJOR success. Just can't stay on it. I have a quick question, when i'm on atkins, my poop is extremely thick. I end up on the toilet forever! I know this is kinda nasty, but its a serious problem and i'm sure that some people are expriencing the same problem. What's the best brand of fiber to take? Or what should i do? Thanks.

I was planning to take a whey protein supplement. The labeling says that it contains 2 carbs per serving (1 gram being sugar) and 23 grams of protien! Is whey protein alright for the atkins diet? I usually try to eliminate all sugar from my diet if i'm doing atkins. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Drink plenty of water. Take a fiber supplement*I was taking flaxseed capsules*. Never surpass the water but sugarfree candy does help*Thats not from the book*Only my opinion.

I eat at least 10g of fiber a day from veggies if I eat anything like tortillas or anything else thats high in fiber the number hits 30+ try upping your veggies and eating flax seeds.

Sugar free candies do help but they cause stalls in some people and if you are like me, if you eat a full serving of them you will be up all night in agonizing pain. At least the peanut butter cups... the rest seem to be much more mild for me.

lots of water helps and psyllum husks if you need to

All natural and really effective used on a regular basis:
Super Colon Cleanse. GNC stores and elsewhere.

I mix a tablespoon of sugar free metamucil with some type of sugar free drink (crystal light, cool aid, etc). But, you need to make sure you are drinking enough water...the extra fiber will dehydrate you.

I wasn't going at all for about 3 days so I started using a combination of flax seed oil capsules and glucomannon capsules. Now I go every day

Try some bowel buddies. You can get them at GNC here in Canada. With a cup of tea, they sure help me!
