hi there,
Some members here have tried Gittleman's Fat Flush Plan, and have had success with the 2-week Phase 1 as a stall-breaker. Personally, I couldn't follow the plan long-term as the grains and starch required in Phase 2 would trigger digestive intolerance problems as well as terrible cravings for me. But other folks appreciate the strictness.
There's a member-review of the program here in the Plans Comparison forum .. The FAT FLUSH PLAN Gittleman (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=46684).

Yes, I did the Fat Flush Plan. It's very specific about what you have to have on hand, for example the cranwater and flaxseed and lemon have to be in your kitchen every morning well before breakfast. Not many places carry the sour craberry juice she wants you to have. You have to really stock up, quick trips to the supermarket aren't going to get you through the Fat Flush Plan, believe me!
Also, Gittleman is very particular about fat restriction, because she claims that fat clogs the liver (she's big on liver cleansing and fighting candida). Her website always directs you to buy oddball stuff off her own business and none of it is cheap! Cruises and retreats that cost thousands of dollars are constantly being promoted to help you along on your weightloss.
This diet is for highly organized people who live near a health food store, who have the time to soak their produce in special cleansing baths, and who have very deep pockets.
