I was wondering about regular unsweetened iced tea. I have been noticing that I have been getting kind of jittery in the afternoons sometimes. I feel like I look like a crack head, I am nervous and jittery and looking around, heart feeling like it is beating faster than normal and can't sit still. It has been happening for a while, not everyday but was getting worrisome to me, because I didn't understand it. Today I started feeling it and noticed something that may be affecting me. I have water all day at work, but at lunch when we go out, I drink one glass of unsweet tea. Today, I got a cup to go, and I am feeling that feeling. I am not positive, but I think I may have gotten a tea to go before when I got these feelings. I have taken myself off coffee and sodas and all other caffeine and was wondering if this is what is affecting me this way. Has anyone else had these feelings? Do you think it is the caffeine in tea? Does anyone know how much caffeine is in tea? Can you tell I am typing about 200 words a minute here......
 :yay: :yay: :yay: :agree: :agree: :yay: :hyper:

It could be the caffeine... do an experiment -

Switch to Green Tea for a few days, anyway you like, it's great unsweetened and iced, and see if your symptoms go away. Green tea is better for you, in general, and has way way less caffeine!

When I stop caffeine, i get the caff. deprevation headache, which is terrible, so I stick with green tea which still gives me my caffeine without having to go overboard. I also take green tea extract in the morning, and was jittery the first few days I took that, but I'm ok now, not sure how to explain that one!

That's exactly what too much caffeine does to me!

I vary in sensitivity depending on how much I drink - right now I drink several cups of coffee a day, so it takes a real serious espresso to do this. But when I 'de-caffeinated' myself totally, one drink with caffeine in would do it.

So - you can either go totally caffeine free or maybe up your 'resistance' a bit, though you'd have to go through these symptoms to do that.

Incidentally, I find that when I am 'hyper' I try to rush around and do lots of jobs, or exercise. Seems to use the extra energy constructively not destructively.
I also make sure I have plenty of cheese etc to snack on, or I'm heading for donuts faster than anything!
Take care, Jay

Well, I have stopped caffeine completly and haven't had that feeling since. i didn't realize their was enought caffeine in tea to do that to me. I guess when I was a caffeine-aholic, I never noticed, now that I am  clean  I really feel it!
no more caffeine for me!
