Where to buy splenda tablets in Auckland?

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, but this is my second time low carbing. Last time I was able to buy splenda tablets at my local Foodtown in Auckland.
I am trying to buy more, but I can't find them in the Foodtown, New World's or Pak n Saves that I have tried. They have the splenda powder, which I have bought, but I would like to have the tablets as well. (I prefer to avoid equal and sucaryl etc)
Have any Auckland Kiwis seen these in their local supermarket?

Alternatively, I will be in Australia (Gold coast) November, are they available there?

Yes, I think all supermarkets here have the tablets. Definitely the bigger ones - Coles and Woolworths.

You are wise to try to find the tablets. Way fewer carbs, and they crush easily for recipes. :)

KiwiSarah, I don't know about Splenda tablets, buyt I have seen Splenda stock by our local Bin Inn. I'm in Gisborne. Surely to ... if its stocked in Gissy it'll be stocked in Auckland.

Thanks Seer, but we have the powder in all the supermarkets here. I'd just prefer the tablets because they are lower carb, and I can more easily take them to work to have in my occasional coffee.
I bought some last year, but now I just can't find them any more.

Hi kiwisarah, I'm in Te Kuiti (King Country area) and our New World carries both Splenda granule and tablets. If your supermarket carries the granule perhaps you could ask them to get some tablets in for you? Our supermarkets pretty obliging about things like that.

Thanks for that info, Kiwifriend. Now that I know it is at least possible to still get them in NZ, I'll see if I can get the local New World to get them in for me.

I never got around to having them ordered in (I haven't quite run out yet).
BUT, a friend of mine bought me some last night at Woolworths 277 in Newmarket. :yay:
It is probable that other Woolworths might carry them as well (although Foodtown doesn't seem to).
