I have two egg laying hens and feed them leftovers. A few
times I tried to give them remnants of sweet things (cakes,
cereals and such). They refuse to eat any of that!!!
I am also sugarfree and do not eat sugar, funny that chickens
know this by heart.

Looks like "dumb animals" aren't so dumb, huh?

From which we conclude what? Give it to a dog and observe,
they being much closer as to us as fellow mammals, heck try
to find any mammal that will not eat it. If you eat fruit you
are eating sugar, or milk, vegies, and just about any other
food in fact.

Figured you might conclude that, which reinforces taking into
account sources of conclusions.

Don't all birds? I thought birds needed to eat gravel in order
to digest their food.
