I just tried the Atkins Bakery Bread that was in the natural foods freezer section of Shaws grocery. It's 3 net carbs a slice. It tastes like real bread! I had a turkey and swiss sandwich with lettuce and mayo and was in sandwich heaven. It was a little pricey at $4.99 per loaf, but it was definitely well worth it. It is far and away much better than any other low carb pre-made bread that I've tried. I think it would also work great for making stuffing or bread crumbs. I can't believe that the carb count can really be this low. I'm hoping I'm not dreaming :)

Try Nature's Own 7 Carb Bread...net 5 carbs per slice, each slice is the same size as regular bread, and it tastes great...just like whole wheat bread!
WalMart Super Center carries it, as well as almost every other major chain. $1.79 per loaf.
Just FYI...

Thanks, Sherry. I'll have to look for this. That's a big difference in the price.
