I just made a trip to Target looking for LC foods. Came home with several things, but my favorite is called "bite back tartar sauce" by The Ojai Cook. It has no carbs, no sugars. It's all natural and has jalepenos and horseradish - two of my favorites. The #1 ingredient is canola oil, so it's a good fat. Has anyone else tried this product? It's too late to come up with something to try it on tonight, but I'm sure I'll be on it first thing tomorrow. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else is lookin' for something like this. I found it with the regular tartar sauce.

hmm, sounds spicy.
It is a little spicy, but not tongue burning. What I like about it most is that it is creamy! That's one of the textures I've missed since starting this WOE and it was wonderful to just run a small amount over my tongue to taste. I'm going to make tilapia tonight and try some on it. I think it will be good! I'll probably grill some shrimp to go with it also. The ingredients are very similar to a "dressing" my family has made for many years, but has sugar added. I'm going to try to replicate the recipe on the side of the jar using the same method we use to make our family recipe. I think the result will be very close. This way I can make it myself and cut the cost to about 1/10 of the bottle.

why is canola a good fat??
Dr. Atkins says it is one of the best oils in his book. I use it and olive oil almost entirely.
