I have been on induction since Aug 1, I lost 25lbs in the first 5 wks.
I am completely "cheatfree"!
But now I'm stalled. I haven't lost anything in the last 3 weeks.
I know this is "normal", but nonetheless its very discouraging!
Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can get past this?

Thanks for you help!
Lynn

It's discouraging, isn't it?

After weeks of no loss (in fact, I'd crept UP a couple of pounds) I finally went down another pound.... hopefully a sign of things to come.

first, congratulations on losing 25 lbs. That's great progress.

Ask yourself some questions about what you've been doing over the last 3 weeks vs. the first 5 weeks... Have you changed anything in your low-carb diet over the last three weeks? Added low-carb candy bars? Starting drinking diet soda? How many carbs are you averaging now? Have you stopped exercising? Did your calories go too low at some point, causing your metabolism to slow?

There are lots of possible explanations for stalling, so keep searching and I'm sure you'll figure out how to get back on track.

I just got past a stall and I'm not sure what did it (if anything, other than normal body fluctuations)--however, I did cut down on cheese, because I thought I might be adding too many calories with it, and also I was wondering if I had any yeast sensitivity. I also stopped taking GTF chromium, which is in a brewer's yeast suspension.

During my 3 week stall I was so grumpy, and sort of angry at what seemed like the false promises of the WOE...now of course I encourage you to hang in there. You may not even need to change anything.

Your body needs to "regroup" after such a good loss. It takes time! Give it a while, and you will see that things will start happening again. Also, your body may be changing shape while the scale is not moving - use that measuring tape!! :)

Good luck!

Thank you ALL for the great advice. I think what may have caused the stall is not getting enough calories per day. I drink over 100oz water a day, no soda, so I'mpretty sure that wasn't the problem.
But, I'm over it!! I lost 4lbs this past week and was very excited about it after being stalled for 3 wks.
Thanks again for the support and advice, this forum has really made a huge difference in my attitude towards my new WOE.
Anytime I'm feeling a little discouraged I just logon to this website, and it does the trick to get me motivated again.
Thanks again!
