Let's use this thread for general guidlines to have a similar style for all the summary pages.

A first attempt at a style/structure for each summary:
1. Plan's name: Common name of the diet
2. Date: Original publication dat
3, Basic Philosophy/Strategy: Low-Carb, or 40/30/30 etc.
This can be used in the main index as a summary.
4. By the numbers: Percentages, phases
5. Method: Details of the method, what to eat, what to avoid
6. Typical menu:
7. Emphasis on: Fat, Sugar, Protein or Exercise
8. Unique Fatures: Particulars that differ from general low-carb diets
Added 9. About the author. Brief bio and credentials.
Please discuss this outline, or cut and paste your preferred outline.

Outline looks good, and seems to offer scope for range of diets to be effectively covered. Will summarise my 4 efforts onto it in the next few days and see how it copes with a practical trial.

Sounds great Andy, I'm looking forward to it.
I will incorporate all comments received this Saturday to update the pages, and will do so on weekly bases for a couple more weeks. Taking all comments, revisions, additions and suggestions until we're happy with the descriptions.

According to your personal profile, you are a scuba diver by profession. However do you find time for it when you clearly put so many hours into this?

Andy, I have made a mistake in my profile. I just corrected it, where my profession is a programmer, and interest/hobby is scuba diving. :)
As for time, I put most of my free time into this, since nothing interests more than doing it. It's quite motivation seeing this growth of members and visitors who read the information, and more so when they share information and knowledge.

Wa'il, I can understand that. Even I feel a sense of belonging, with far less input than you. There is a point where you become swept up into the community, and part of it. You can feel very proud. You are doing something worthwhile, which helps many people, and have the satisfaction of growth and success to add to the underlying success you must feel from just putting in positive effort and getting out worthwhile results. On behalf of many, I offer my thanks to you.

Just added a new item to the style guide:
9. About the author. Brief bio and credentials.

I like the additional category, but hard as I try, I can't make it work in position 9. Will send you my next update with it in position 3, where it seems to make sense. If you or someone else can sensibly change it after that, it will be OK by me. But it does seem sensible to read something about the author's credentials before reading his work. It's up to you though, you have full editorial control.
If anyone else would like to tackle Atkins as well, I might feel happier. There are some members here who live by his words, whereas to me his book is an academic exercise. Blending the two perspectives might be fruitful. Just a thought.

Hi Andy,
The order of the sections can easily be changed, and I agree, it should way on top.
But no one should worry about re-editing or reformatting, I can re-arrange them, as long as the sections are provided. :)
