Excellent report. Too bad he talked to a "Dr" who at the same time is trying to sell his book.

Anyone know how to write Josh? I'd like to send a positive letter to go along with all of those negatives he was sent.

update:
I sent a letter to "dateline~nbc.com" figuring that might get to him.

Ornish is a Animal Rights quack. He is lying when he says "I'd like to tell people Sausage is good for them..." He would like nothing more than for everyone to go Vegan. That said, he is Atkins' greatest detractor...and as such is interviewed alot.

Funny thing about Ornish, there's little to no science in his approach. For instance, his "eat all you want" (of semi-digestible silage) is based on the view, popular among lowfat nutritionists, that simply FILLING your stomach promotes satiety. If they read the lit, they'd know that's bogus, mostly. As far back as the 50's psychologists conducted elegant experiments involving bags of saline filling the stomach. And they found it was not as simple as "full stomach, no appetite" Preaching to the choir here, but we all know by now that it is all about insulin and bg levels. So poor Ornish still thinks if he fills you up with chaff, you'll never be hungry.Don't get me started, on that quack. Bill

That was great! Thanks for posting the links.

I'm glad I watched the second one....had a bit of computer trouble and had to log back in for it.....and it was worth it!

I cracked up when he read the letter saying his response to meditation and low fat was "childish"....because I thought that was one of the best parts of the original piece!
