Hello,
I'm curious to know what do you guys eat when you get the munchies several hours after dinner?
For some reason , i never used to get them, but now I am getting them.
I wish i didn't get the munchies, b/c i think in my case, it makes my weight loss much slower than when i sleep with an empty stomache.
Perhaps drinking a *large* glass of water might do the trick. ?
(I probably really should as I don't think I am drinking my daily quota)

I've found that I'm usually so full from my protein that I don't get hungry in the evening, unless I've eaten a very early evening meal.
Try pork rinds, some cheese or cheese chips (these are just pieces of cheese nuked on parchment paper in the microwave, and then let cooled), or I love to have just some pepperoni pieces (I'm able to get some great tasting homemade pepperoni at our local market...it's soooo good it's like a treat of candy to me).

Yep! Pork rinds, cheese, chicken wings, hard cooked eggs, celery, cucumber slices, leftovers and water.

Funny you should ask. As I was reading this I was eating a couple of Gummie worms The recipe I use is:
2 pkg sugar free Jello
3 envelopes unflavoured gelatin
1 cup boiling water
Mix all ingredients and pour in 9X9 pan
cool in fridge
Cut in fine strips
Add 1 pkg of unsweetened Kool-Aid (similar flavour) if you like them sour.
Sometimes I find a few mouthfuls of sugar free jello or a handful of Macadamian nuts does the job.
Gummi worms, huh? I learn to make the most amazing things on this website. Thanks Sharm.

Way cool Sharmca!! My kids love gummy worms and this would be a great LC recipe for them. Why don't you add it to the recipe section? And what other goodies are your hiding in that mind of yours? :D

lettuce wraps! lettuce leaves wrapped around small pieces of broiled chicken breast, turkey breast, bacon, boiled egg, cream, sprinkle of parmesan, roquefort, etc.
When I broil meat, fish, I cook a couple of extra pieces, cut them into bite pieces, store them in the fridge for nibbles. I either marinade and/or spice (cajun, etc) the meats when I cook them.
I use the above for packed breakfasts/lunches.

I saw this somewhere and tried it.... it's great.
Cinnamon Crispas
Drizzle a little butter/margarine over a bag of plain pork skins.
Sprinkle a little splenda and cinnamon over the buttered skins.
Enjoy! :spin:

... but I always try to remember to glug some good filtered water when I think I'm a bit "peckish"... quite often (so I have read elsewhere as well) it's often thirst 'masquerading' as water because most folks don't generally recognize water-thirst.
If I'm still hungry after that (true hunger), then any or all of the above suggestions work great. I'm partial to a hardboiled egg with a dollop of real mayo and fresh-ground pepper! :yum:

I often have this for breakfast but, if I don't, I have it as a bedtime snack. I mix two or three tablespoons of whipping cream (heavy cream) with about 1/3 cup of ricotta cheese, add a bit of sweetener, and mix in a few strawberries or raspberries. It's delicious. If I have it for breakfast, I use 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese and a little more cream, but the smaller amount is perfect for a bedtime snack.

Usually I find a cup of decaf tea (I like Tension Tamer by Celestial Seasonings) kills my craving and gets me relaxed for bed. If that doesn't cut it, a little bit of SF Jello with whipped cream makes me feel like I'm spoiling myself.
