When taken in doses advised by the jar, do these work as well as taking a tbsp or two of an EFA oil blend straight?

Also, I suspect I have a severe efa defficiency, as I hate fish and rarely eat it and have never supplimented them before. What kind of health improvements can I expect when I begin supplementation?
