Hi I have been on Atkins for 4 weeks now and need a boost. I lost 7lb in the first 10 days then nothing. the same 3lb keep going on and of.I have got 6 weeks before I go on holiday and just wish to lose at least 1-2lb a week. I feel the last 3 weeks I have wasted. But I do feel so healthy on Atkins and haveing read the pp post think this might be the slight change I need. One of my problems is under active tyroid and I take 100mgs of thyroxin a day. I still think this is not quiet enough but doctor knows best!!!!!
Please could you post me some simple menus tho follow for a few days or point me in the right direction.

Hello from Canada!
There's not a lot of information I can give you, because PP is designed very similarly to Atkins. You're allowed a bit more carbs - 30-40 g initially, then more after a while. If you've switched from induction to OWL, you're already eating Protein Power type meals.
You have two things going against you: the thyroid condition, and the fact that you're within 20 lbs of your goal weight. These factors make weight loss slower, and that won't change by switching plans.
So by all means, pick up a copy of Protein Power or Protein Power Lifeplan, since they're both excellent books. But my guess is that weight loss wouldn't be any faster... :(
Do keep us posted and feel free to start a journal. That's a good way for us to say hello and see if there's anything on your menu that might be slowing things down. Good luck!
