I just bought a potassium supplement. Turns out it has Dextrose in it (I really have to get better at reading the label more carefully :nono: ).

I'm trying to decide whether to take it, or toss it and get another brand. I already opened the bottle so I can't return it, and hate throwing money away, but the other day I had some food with overlooked dextrose in it, and it gave me a serious sugar rush. I'm thinking as long as I take it with food and count it as a carb I might be okay, but maybe that's playing with fire. Especially since, it's only 99 mg, and the recommendation on the boards here seems to be around 400... am I going to be ingesting too much dextrose? .

Thoughts?

I only pay about $3 for a bottle of potassium something, so it's not like it's a ton of money. I don't take it regularly; there's plenty of K+ in a normal day's diet. I take the supplement by the handful on the weekends when I'm working in the yard and sweating hard and I notice the tremors of low K+ and I'm probably working hard enough to burn off any dextrose. Haven't read the label to know what's in mine.

Have you tried the replacement salt? That has K+ instead of Na+.
