I was recently tested for a thyroid condition. The endocrinologist I saw told me that my TSH level is .35, which he said meant I was hyperthyroid. However, after asking me a ton of questions about my symptoms, he said my hyperthyroidism is subclinical, meaning that the symptoms I am having are not a result of my thyroid condition. Most of my symptoms would fall under the hypothyroidism category. He advised me to talk to a psychiatrist and go on anti-depressants and see if that helps things. I'm a little freaked out because I know having untreated hyperthyroidism is dangerous and am wondering if anyone else out there has been told they have subclinical hyperthyroidism.
