hi there gatsbyjas,
I suspect it's because of the caffeine-content. While controlled amounts of caffeine along with other nutrients can have thermogenic properties, the whole idea of doing Induction "clean" is to get your liver and your metabolism into ketosis and fat-burning mode on its own first. If you have a problem with metabolic resistance, using a thermogenic product right from the start could mask it. Plus, some folks have reported that Accel gives the jitters and they felt unwell .. had to cut the dose in half for a week or so till they got used to it. Induction can leave you feeling blah enough for the first few days, as your body depletes its glycogen stores and switches burning ketones for fuel.
There doesn't appear to be any incompatibility between Accel and other nutrients. Accel does contain phenylalanine, so if you have PKU or sensitivity, you should avoid this product.
Calcium and magnesium work together for proper muscle and nerve function. Calcium is also important for strong bones. If you type "calcium AND magnesium" into the search engine tool (at the top right of the page), you'll find lots of info about the importance of these minerals.

Doreen

How bout the thyroplex component. I take synthroid, has this been known to mess up your TSH levels? Anyone?
