I've been taking eca's responsibly for a couple months. They help curb my appetite and give me a boost for my workout routine. I know they are a controversial topic and many people think anything with ephedra is the devil cause a couple people over did it, or had adverse reactions and died but I never had any adverse reactions, not even jitteryness and if i ever do i will stop taking them(no lectures pls:)
I continued taking them into the Atkins diet. I know they contain caffeine but i'm wondering if they could cause a stall, they are supposed to increase your metabolic rate though, im slightly confused.
iS anyone else on stackers or hydroxycut or xenadrine? If so did it cause any changes in your ketosis?? I havent gotten arond to buying the ketostix yet, so i cant measure like i want to.

I haven't used it since I was on Atkins. I used Stacker 2 for a little while and it did nothing for me! Then, I was using Hydroxycut which worked awesomely! They do make both without Ephedra which is what I was taking

Before my last baby I lost alot of weight using Hydroxycut and Low Fat. Now you can't get the origional hydroxycut, and someone mentioned the hydroxy part is bad for low carbers. I found diet fuel origional formula which I really like and am using. Unfortunetly they are moving to ephedera free and I can't find the origional formula. I found extream stackers by Twin Lab which I have used, and will probably have to use again as they are the only stacker I can find at the moment. I'm not as impressed with them as the other types.

Check out that thread from the supplments board. Trainerdan has A LOT of good information on that thread about ECA's, the safety of them, and why you are wasting your money if you use one that doesn't contain ephedra.

Hi MaryJane,
I was taking Hydroxycut w/ ephedra until Nat pointed out that it is not the best supplement to take when doing a low carb diet. Yesterday, I bought the Stacker 2 and decided to see what happens. I will let you know in a week if I see any results.
I did notice that when I took Hydroxycut I did not see a big difference in my weight, and I even had problems in the bathroom.(sorry) So I decided HYdrox was not the way for me to go.
Good luck on whatever you decide ..and I will post my results in a week and let you know how it goes. Let me know if you decide to any supplement.
