*sigh*
Just had this link shown to me....
http://www.thedietchannel.com/atkins.htm
Once again it's full of nonsense about "unlimited fat"
Why do people insist on writing "comprehensive analyses" without having all the facts?

Fat causes Insulin Release...That is the biggest piece of Bullshit I've ever read. Anyone with half a brain knows that Insulin release correlates to the Glycemic Index and Carbohydrates in a food. A food high in carbs and high-glycemic will cause more insulin to be released than a low-carb, low-glycemic food. Fats and most Proteins (Aspartame excluded) have glycemic indices of ZERO with ZERO carbs. 0 GI + 0g Carbs = 0 Insulin Released.

Sigh! here too.
Oh well, some people have to support that infamous food pyramid that is supposed to be so healthy for us.

Well after all, atkins does not suggest you eat unlimited fat. They only suggest you limit your carbs. No one can eat a ton of fat and lose weight.

The article was written by someone with a RD meaning Registered Dietitian, or Registered Quack.
I guess she knows better than my endocrinologist who recommended low-carbohydrates to me to control blood sugars. Incidentally, it works very well.
