Well, I done did it.

I'm selling a piece of petrified mammalian bone on eBay for
the very first time.

It is item No. 2184891879 and is described as " PETRIFIED BONE
--- Found between Coal Veins ."

The starting bid is $100.

Naturally, the specimen is described rather well, including a
reference to my longtime battle with the Scientific
Establishment.

However, I was kind enough not to mention the deceit,
deception, collusion and conspiracy to which this specimen and
others have been subjected.

Those interested have been supplied direections how they can
find out on their own.

Did you happen to mention that it's a complete fraud?

This was my reply to the subject elsewhere this morning, Ed:

Two things stand out when I read the description. The first is
his claim that specimens LIKE THAT ONE have been tested. He
makes no claim that THIS PARTICULAR specimen has been tested.

He also directs the reader to "deja.com" for additional
information - NOT HIS WEB SITE - and, of course, "deja.com" no
longer exists.

On the other hand, Internet fraud is a hot topic these days,
so this probably wasn't one of Ed's brighter ideas. There are
things in Ed's description that are clearly intended to
misdirect. For on thing, Ed KNOWS that the American Medical
Labs never tested his specimens and he knows that the lab
reports in his possession are not reports of the testing.

Ed hasn't commited fraud unless and until he sells the items.
But until then, we have probable cause for conspiracy to
commit fraud, and I will be reporting this both to eBay's
"Safe Harbor" and the appropriate law enforcement and postal
authorities before the day is out.

Actually, if you type www.deja.com, you get the Google

Could be, but so far there are no bids. $100 is kinda high
for a rock.

Up to your old tricks David, enyhting here that s.a.p.-ers
don't already know or even want to know. Just because your not
xposting to T.O. does not mean you are off the hook.

This is what Igarashi in News group has to say about off-topic
xposting, most of it applies as well to you as to Jabby.

" jabriol <jabriol@hotmail.com> wrote:

>All them, since they were affected one way or another by T.O

Actually, that doesn't necessarily make them on-topic for
those groups. Your main problem is with T.O., not those
groups. If there's no expected crossposting problem with
chaning T.O., then they wouldn't be affected by any changes in
T.O. and don't care enough to need the current discussion in
their group. If there are expected problems, then posting to
them now is part of that problem, and they still shouldn't be
cross posted to.

>and second, some of these groups contain the majority of T.O

>T.O membership, and must do so in a different manner,

You should NOT be posting to those groups just to reach
your intended
T.O. readership. That's bad usenet manners. At most, only
news.groups might have been relevant, seeing as it is
about the creation of newsgroups and one of your
rationale was a call for group removal or at least
warning other proponents of the pitfalls of moderation.
Note, the latter is so general as NOT to be on topic in
the other groups you posted in, and the former is
specific to T.O. and

news.groups only (thus, again is off-topic in those
other groups).

>Fourth I added the support groups, and Voila!, if they were

>T.O moderator would have recieve massive complaints, Those in

That's a terrible thing to do on usenet, and extremely bad
manners. You should NOT be arbitrarily choosing to post to
other newsgroups. "

IOW DAVID xposting to groups OT material for any reason is
1. A terrible thing to do
2. Extremely bad manners
3. Should not be done.

And yet you continue, if you post to the same groups as Ed
does you are as much an idiot that he is.

What he is doing is known as "hawking his warez" because he is

Umm, doesn't the TOS of e-bay *explicitly* prohibit sellers
spamming news of their auctions? I could swear I just saw

Yea, something about a program to record CtoC. But of course,
that was someone maliciously forging the real sellers email to

Jeez, you can't even get that right. According to Ebay, the
starting bid for this rock http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d-
ll?ViewItem&item=2184891879&category=3216

is $1000 !!!!

There are, not surprizingly, no bids yet.

Notice that as soon as this was suggested in the groups, Ed
raised the bidding price to $1000.

Ed has no intention of REALLY selling these things because he
knows they are frauds.

True; but the other problem is a lack of insight and the

I'll pay 1000 dollars to have Ed and David shackled
together in a rubber room for a month. 2000 to have Jabriol
fulfill their little love triangle. 3000 to have DIG
moderate it [we can count on alot of intimate consumation
before DIG would step in]

Someone needs to ask, however if Ed sells his petrified bone,
wont that cause the wind to make a freakish noise when it
howls through his head.

[And David you need to learn how to trim the NG line]

Once (if) EC sells it, the buyer could sue when he confirms it
is not petrified bone as claimed in the sale documents (ebay).
*I* would buy it for this privilege!

Yes, but Philip clearly has problems with his. It's either
that, or he's a liar.

I actually tend to opt for both of those possibilities
combined.

He would get a bad wrap on EBAY. Then he couldn't sell
anymore, someone here should bid $1001 dollars and see if the
base bid goes up to 10,000. If you bid you don't have to buy
it, you could just cancel your bid, theoretically we could all
go over there and bid the price up and scare the bejesus out
of ED. If he jacks up the starting bid again we could complain
to EBAY, that would offer a few laughs better that David
playing perinneal tiddly winks with ED.

There are actually two issues with respect to Ed's rather
pathetic pretense at selling his wares. He can be party to a
civil suit, of course, but there is also the potential for
criminal fraud charges.

Meanwhile, I am amused to find that Philip, as always,
continues to be entertained by my participation in these
threads.

But I see he's still not above lying.

Obviously, he has NOT killfiled me.

I also recall a time when he tried to tell us that his problem
was not so much that Ed POSTS to s.a.p., but that he
CROSS-posts to s.a.p. Implied in those statements was that
replies to Ed were not the issue, only CROSS-posted
"pollution."

Now we can see that I was right all along. Philip hates it
when Ed posts - period. And he further hates it that others
respond to Ed.

Philip does not want to see Ed or responses to Ed in
s.a.p. AT ALL.

You see, I know this because Ed has been posting from s.a.p.
and cross-posts to other groups FROM s.a.p.

My replies to Ed that appear in s.a.p., like it or not, are
read by me in s.a.p. and posted FROM s.a.p.

So trimming the newsgroup lines would make no difference at
all to Philip or to s.a.p. I could trim all of the other
newsgroups away, and the comments would STILL appear in s.a.p.

Philip is as welcome as ever to rant on about that and try to
put a spin on it. Nothing about my responses will change. In
fact, I get a bit of enjoyment, having Philip as one of my
three associated "net loons."

I debated buying the item and yet might - I haven't finally
decided, though there is something about giving a fraud and a
liar like Ed money. It just isn't right.

But in the meantime, the bid price doubles.

Imagine that!

The fact is that Ed is not REALLY willing to part with ANY of
his alleged "specimens" because that will CLEARLY be fraud.

Despite all of Ed's bravado, Ed isn't willing to risk it.
He either isn't all that sure that what he's got is what he
says he's got, or he KNOWS that all he's got is a
collection of rock.

I'm willing to pay half the cost of testing and recording the
tests, as everyone who follows these things knows, and that
would be more expensive. Those would be good, honest people
earning their money - even if the specimen will almost
certainly prove to be something other than what Ed claims.

It's obvious that all of this is Ed's means to answer my
comments about eBay and the challenge that I put to him. But
that challenge is already more than fair; and he knows it.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a flurry of sockpuppet bids to
make it look like people are actually interested in paying
money for a handful of pebbles.

You ought to see what people pay for Dr. Laura's pebbles.

You are spamming AFA-B with an unsolicited commercial
advertisement. This is known as "hawking your bone" and can be
reported to spam@ebay.com by anyone who is offended by the
presence of said spam.

> It is item No. 2184891879 and is described as " PETRIFIED

Until you provide credible documentation that this "specimen"
is anything but a rock, it will only be regarded as such.

> The starting bid is $100.

As I understand it, you continue to manipulate the starting
price, which according to another thread posted to AFA-B, is
presently at two thousand dollars.

> Naturally, the specimen is described rather well, including

Why don't you describe your "specimen" right here. Provide
complete testing results including all carbon dating,
mineralogical sampling and analysis, and documentation which
authenticates the precise geographic location of the
excavation point from where this "specimen" was extracted from
the earth.

> However, I was kind enough not to mention the deceit,

Are you referring to your konspiracy to hawk your "bone" on
ebay while advertising it on AFA-B?

Yeah, or they can follow my "direections" and wait until one
of their brats has a loose tooth, give it an apple to expedite
tooth extraction with minimal whining, then klaim they dug it
up out of a coal mine. Real klever, eh? If they want to make
it more realistic, they can buy a pick and a shovel, rub dirt
on their face, then have a snapshot taken, holding their
"prize" up over their head.

As much as I would enjoy exposing him as a blustering fraud, I
haven't the financial reserves to spend on such an endeavor. I
do offer this suggestion; you could try contacting the experts
who previously examined his "bone" and request they disclose
their findings. If they should be willing to provide the
results of their examination, you could save your money for
something for which you might find practical use.

well you realize of course what will happen... he'll come back
and say that e-bay was threatened not to accept any bids with
something like; "pseudoscientists threatened e-bay that they
were to quietly accept no bids because the pseudo's live in
fear of the truth, and evidence like this falling into public
hands would be too damaging to their pseudoscience. the real
fakes are exposed." and he'll have proof no doubt in the form
of some super secret inter-office memo claiming that the
"scientific establishment cannot handle the truth of ed's
indisputable proof" or something like that.

i'd bet a dollar on it, any takers? ;)

You got to have some gusto, placing a bid does not mean you
are going to get it. And if you did when and it turned out not
to be what he describes I think the legal beagles would be
interest in that ;^).

Not really having an expert opinion as much as a legal opinion
(IOW is it legal to knowingly sell something on the internet
that is a fruad and what might be the legal result, $2000
might not be enough money in that case) There would be a legal
preceeding on the matter in which opinions might be sought and
then a cease and desist order may be invoked. hint.

Ed, I let it be known through the grapevine that I might bid
on these items at the last minute.

Is that why you keep raising the price?

Ed, it's pretty obvious that this is a bluff on your part and
that you have no intention of selling the items.

Ed, the last piece of the puzzle is in place. Even YOU don't
believe you have anything other than rocks. You're obviously a
con man, a liar and a fraud.

It's the record of allllll the changes he made to the page.
Quite a few! Prices and description! Wonder what he kept

Say, he's been awfully quiet lately, hasn't he? heh heh
