Need Help!
I have fail off the LC wagon and have tried to get back on track. I started induction over and I can't seem to get through the first day. Today I did OK until I got a headache and I ate a couple of pieces of caramel / cream candy. After eating it I felt bad so I took a brisk walk. I feel like giving up. I have gained 4lbs back I'm now weighing 299. I know the weight will come off I just need to be deciated and right now it seems really hard to focus. I really do feel like giving up  I don't know what to do.

Don't give up K. Tell yourself that you are worth this. Give yourself a big hug and start again. Induction is a bear and you know that you need to prepare as best you can. Remember this year is going to pass whether you do this or not, but if you do it you might just find yourself a skinny minny before it's done.

We are here for you Kish!!! Don't give up.
You made the committment to write in the forum so let us help you.!!!My big thing is to drink lots of water. I find the water will flush out your system and when you think your hungry 9 out of 10 times you are really thirsty. So drink up. Make sure you don't forget the vitamins and minerals too. Half the battle is reading and writing here, and you have done that so let's see if we can get you back on track. Ask away. We are here for you :agree:

It is definately tought to get back up on the LC wagon when there is something tugging at you to fall off...
...like emotional issues or stress. It's important to sort out those issues to determine what it is that's making you want to sabotoge your healthy eating lifestyle.
I'm struggling right now too (OK, not struggling so much since I've returned to this forum after 3 weeks away) and I can tell you it gets easier with each passing day. Maybe you should take it an hour at a time and build to Day One and then Day Two, etc.
Please think about the things you're eating too. You have to stop thinking of them as treats or rewards or comfort. They aren't. Treats and rewards and comforts aren't bad for us. They definately shouldn't be things that put our health at risk. The next time you want a carmel candy, stop for a moment and ask yourself why you want to destroy what you have accomplished so far with that candy. Putting it down and leaving it down will bring you a sense of power.
We have to learn to love ourselves more and not be afraid.
Good luck and keep posting!

Just say to yourself...I will do this for one week and don't let anything stop you. After that week I guarantee you will have all the motivation you need. :)

This works for me (well it worked once). I try not to have anything in the house that I can't have "legally". I have made it so far as to put on my shoes like I am going out to get myself a "treat" but by the time I put on my shoes I realize...it aint worth it. :yay:

This is what I did. I just concentrated on ONE day. Just that first day. I figured I could do it for one day!!! It was hard , but I just kept focusing on that one day. After the first whole day, the second came, and believe it or not, the second was a little easier. After all, I had made it thru one day, I could do it again. Each day got easier. By the time a few days had passed I felt stronger and stronger. I CAN DO THIS!!!! I don't ever cheat tho, cuz I know that one cheat will lead to another. After not cheating for 2 weeks you feel so powerful! This is possible, and I am DOING it!!
So that's my story,

Once the horse throws you the best way to recover is to just get back on. Now, real horses may be easier to get back on than LC but I have just come back off a 2+ week vacation with very loose LC habits. As in close to not LC at all. And some days definately anti-LC.
Remember before reading further that this worked for me. Your milage may vary!
When I eat LC foods, they naturally curb MY appetite (read the previous paragrah above!). I found keeping LEGAL (but not necessarily the healthiest) low carb foods available ALL the time helped me get back into the swing of things.
Example: hungry between meals? Eat a devilled egg made with your favorite (Franks?) hot sauce and zero carb may and mustard. Still hungry then eat another! I ate 8 in one day. Now...it curbed my desire to eat foods which are off program. I also induldge in meat snacks known as Slim Jim's. Now, there is no way i want to know what these ae made of. But they are edible on MY food program and keep me in the weight loss mode! And I feel much healthier. My blood work is amazingly improved in my 2 months of LC living. (Triglycerides from 600+ to 63!)
Anyway, there are others way farther along who have weathered this successfully. Listen to them. I know Donald and AlluraD have both lost well in excess of 100 pounds. I call that successful. Of course, i salso call going from where I was to where I am a major step on the road to success.
And I think you will be the next success story!
