went to a 50's diner friday and the menu had a sugar free ice cream available. not "no sugar added" but "sugar free". i asked for clarification and the waitress swore it was absolutely sugar free. I believe they used "blue bell" ice cream, it was blue something. any way, it was butter pecan and tasted great. to good as a matter of fact. is there really sugar free ice cream out there. does it taste this good. how many carbs could it still have. I only got the kiddie size because i really didn't trust the claim anyway. if anyone has some info i would appreciated it.

Hi Pilkyd,
Maybe it was Blue Bunny ice cream? They have some that they call "sugar free" but is really no sugar added. It uses Splenda which is nice, but it still has 5g of sugar and 20g of carbs per 1/2 cup serving. Here is a link: http://www.bluebunny.com/promotions/splenda.cfm
