Hi
Can anybody point me in the direction of some induction information that is very easy to understand (and step-by-step)?
I bought the Atkins For Life- The Next Level but it is confusing and doesn't really deal with the induction phase which seems to be very important.
I am finding it hard just to get started never mind stay on the actual diet
After clearing out my kitchen cupboards I have a wad of money to spend at the supermarket but I don't have a clue what I should be buying.
Please help.
Thank you
UKGary

Hi Gary,
Yes, I can understand your confusion, as Atkins for Life is more about maintenance. The best book for starting Atkins is Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution - if you can bear to spend some of that "wad of money." ;)
Meanwhile, you can find some more info about Induction on the Atkins site - here. (http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html)
All the best!

I have the Atkins for Life book and don't find it confusing at all. Simply put, protein at every meal until you feel satisfied. 2-3 cups of salad per day with regular dressings that are low carb ie. blue cheese, ranch. One cup of vegetables per day. Read lists in book that tell you which veggies are allowed. Keep total for day carb to 20.

Hi Rosebud and Redhead
Rosebud - thank you for pointing to that very handy resource. I just printed off the information and am in the process of writing out my shopping list :)
I will invest in the book you mention too as it seems that I need to pick up the basics first.
Redhead - thanks for the breakdown and the suggestions of what I am allowed.
I think that I am just drowning in information overload at the moment and just need to start working the plan and reading the info thoroughly.
I appreciate all of the help that I am getting very much.
Thank you again for taking the time to post your replies. You have no idea just how much I appreciate it
Best wishes
UKGary
