i am in platau for almost 20 days but i am in ketosis. how is possible? i read in this forum that drinking alcohol can change ketostix's colour. i don't like beer, wine or other superalcohol so i never drink it..is there any other food that is changing my stix's colour because i don't understand what am i burning? :cry:

You could be eating too much fat for your particular body chemistry. Ketone strips will register from dietary fat also. Try reducing your fat and maybe increasing your protein.

You could be losing weight and gaining muscle. Try measuring yourself regularly and I bet you'll see a difference.

I just wanted to add that you're not the only one firmly in ketosis and not showing any weight loss, but as my DH says, "you're still eating healthier than you ever have, so don't stress!" I did not know that dietary fat could register on the stix so thanks for the insight. Good Luck!

Be sure not to lower your fat 'too' much, though. It still needs to be the highest percentage of your daily intake.
Being in ketosis on a lowfat diet can be dangerous.
