Hi, I live in Lake City, have moved here recently from Alaska, and am having major culture shock..... I'm actually from the South, but have only been here to visit my parents in the past, as they moved here from WV after I left home for college. I can't get a "feel" for this place, but would be interested in meeting someone who's working with this program in the area.

I work in Lake City! So, in a way, we are neighbors. I live south of Lake City in the sticks, near a small town called Branford.
And we are also the same age.
I can relate to your culture shock completely! I lived most of my life in the Tampa/St. Pete area, and moved here after hubby retired from the Post Office, and we had had enough of the "big city". I have lived here 10 years and I think I am still adjusting!
I am an executive assistant to the owners of a Pharmacy. I'm really a 'go-fer', doing everything from payroll, accounting functions, keeping up with the website, and anything else that needs to be done. They are good people, I've been with them for 6 years, and will stay as long as they will have me :yay:
How long have you been in Lake City? Are you working yet? Do you have a family?
