I like LaTortilla brand green onion for making wrap-style sandwiches. I like the plain ones for making pizza.
But, I will use any of them at any time - I like them. I know some people think they have an aftertaste. And, I've only used LaTortilla Factory.

i've used the regular ones for pizza and soft tacos and tried the green onion as a wrap w/my tuna salad... they've been great so far and for only 3 carbs - way worth the money...
www.vitaglo.com has the best prices on these...

Howdy ALL!
I am on induction...and staying CLEAN and STRICT. So, first question is about the Atkins Tortill shell-things; On the package it shows good for ALL 4 phases of Atkins...and net carbs are 3...and I have PLENTY of carbs AND calories left to use every day....and I DO NOT want ANYTHING that could stall me as I am SLOW SLOW right now as it is..........ALSO, they have 12 gr Carb with 9 from fiber (Net 3)and I could USE THAT FIBER...0 sugars.
Questions:
1) Are these REALLY safe for ongoing Induction as Atkins Claims?
and
2) Do they TASTE halfway decent?
I would LOVE to wrap my tuna and chicken salads in something other then lettuce leaves.
THANKS ALL!
Jake

I know the Atkins products say they're good for all four steps, but someone here mentioned a little while back that Dr. Atkins himself didn't really have much to do with the products (aside from his name) because he was a strong advocate of "staying clean" during induction, and that the product company's main goal is to sell, sell, sell. I wish I could find that post, but anyway, something to consider! You're doing great!

Hi Brandon: YOU ARE THE MAN! Thanks for offering that!
I checked at netrition.com and see they have the La Tortilla brand tortilla's...in the EXACT same flavor offerings as Atkins...and at $2.99 per 10 pk....
I am thinking it possible that Atkins is selling these on their website...
Maybe someone here can shed THAT light also?
Thank you for your generous offer Brandon! I need some other items also, and just figured IF it turns out I can get them, will order all items at once.
THANKS AGAIN:

I haven't tried the Atkins brand but I LOVE the La tortillas. I don't eat more than one a day though. Too much fiber can have bad side effects for me!

Hi. The LaTortilla factory tortillas are really good.
This is where I get mine from. http://www.lowcarbmall.com I am close to the store but they are available for you to buy online. Here is the info.
Low Carb Ready Made Tortilla (10 small)
Carbs per serving: 3 effective carbs This is a perfect product with only 3 effective carbs! The normal tortilla (same size) normally has between 22 and 26 carbs and far less fiber! This is a product that will really allow you to succeed! Available in Whole Wheat, Green Onion, and Herb & Garlic.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the LA TIARA brand I've been seeing much about on the internet? I think they are available in stores in the midwest and are really low carb as well (can't recall the actual carbs). I thought someone had posted on a forum that at their local store they can get 12 for .99 cents. Online stores have them for something like $2.35 for 18 of them.
I'm sure they are tastey but don't really know.

There are posts about the La Tiara brand elsewhere in this Forum, though I don't remember the opinions. If you don't see the subject you're looking for in the lines on this main/front page, there are Tips on using the SEARCH feature "stuck" to the top of this Products page that should help you out.
There are lots of OTHER posts about the LaTortilla and Atkins brands (which I think is LaTortilla in a different package, but I'm not positive) as well, all over this Products forum.
Happy Reading.

I like the LaTortilla regular flavor just fine. They're not fabulous, but they're not the tortillas I've been eating all my life either. ;) I get them at Kroger for $2.99 for 10. They're in the deli/bakery area of the store. Was going to try the herb one this week, but they were out of them. Oh well, another time.
