Hi everyone,

These days my family has been going on this sunday dinner outing at a hotel buffet almost every week. And as a salmon sashimi lover, I would always eat a lot of it.

Nowadays I began to discover that I have a lot of cyst outbreaks around my body...I have especially one prominent cyst around my left armpit. It is located rather deep under the skin and it is rather impossible that it will erupt out all the inside contents.

I tried squeezing it but end up the skin area surrounding became yellowish. my back and neck has smaller cysts...like acnes...

Once when i researched about how to prepare raw fish dishes, I read about people having the preference of tuna over salmon because salmon has a higher chance of containing parasites.

So does it mean if I stop taking salmon sashimi for some time the cyst may disappear? Or could there be other reasons for the cyst outbreak?

I am considering to have the prominent cyst removed by surgery. Unless it can slowly disappear...

Hi Fumih,

There could be many reasons for this. I would discuss it with your doctor.

I am so thankful that I found your message. I started Atkins 1 month ago and soon afterwards I had a cyst on the back of my left leg. It hurt like nothing I had ever had before. I went to the doc and he put me on antibotics. This past Monday another one came up on my left knee. This one is worse than the other one and extremly swollen. I went back to doc and was started on a stronger antibotic. He also tested me for diabetes. I was told it may be my diet so I have gone off the diet until I get the results. My cyst are very infected and hurt so bad. I am so thankful that you can relate.

Thanks so much,
Baxley
