I have had the same problem. About 4 years ago i tried the Atkins for about 2 weeks and then i started bleeding mid cycle.

Well i have been on the pill for 9 years now. So that was very scary to me so i quit the diet.

Well, now i am on it again and it has been 3 weeks and the bleeding started again. i am still on the pill. So i knew for sure that it was the LC thing.

I was concerned so i contacted a doctor and a nurse and they told me its nothing to worry about. On a lot of diets when you change what you are eating drastically (even on very low-fat diets) your cycle will be messed up.

This should not go on very long though. I was told your body will adjust and nothing to be concerned with. So hopefully by next month, i will be on track cause this is a pain in the butt!!!!!

I will keep everyone updated on what happens.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I never spot midcycle, and after 2 weeks on this WOL, I started spotting/bleeding. I hope it goes away soon because it's really annoying.

I had one very screwed up month/ cycle, but now I'm back to normal. My doc, too, said not to worry. Good luck.

my cycle and I thought it was done, and then my body decided I wasn't.

You're right, PITT, but so is being fat. Coming around again now and I'll just have to see how this one goes.

i was on the pill when i started atkins. i was bleeding midcycle or starting a week early and lasting 2 weeks almost every month. the doc tried switching brands/types of pills but it happened with every one. finally i gave up and went off of them. so far so good, it has been 2 months now and things seem to be going pretty regular, and the pms symptoms seem to be a little less then before the pill also (which is why i went on them in the first place).

good luck to you

I wish I knew the answer. I haven't had a period in about 2 months since doing this. But I have been doing it off an do maybe its the sporatic eating habits.

Well i told all of you i was experiencing mid-cycle bleeding and i am and have been on the pill for 9 years. After a week and a half it stopped. I continued taking the active pills and skipped the sugar pills so i wouldnt have a period. Cause that would have been 2.5 weeks of bleeding (no thanks!) But so far so good! Hope i stay regular now.
