I've been experiencing an upset stomach nearly every time I go to the bathroom (about 2-3x a day) for about 3-4 wks now. I'm thinking it must be the LC eating. Anyone else experienced this?
Otherwise I'm very happy with the WOL and don't want this to jeopordize anything or make it impossible to continue LCing. And, no, I don't eat a lot of artificial stuff.

Thanks!

Could it be a food allergy? Something you are eating may be causing it...even if you ate it before .... I found that if I eat cream cheese I get the "D" and tummy problems this despite eating this all thoughout last year.

On the other side, if it is problomatic or if you see blood in your stool (sorry to be gross), go to the doctor. You may have a parasite or irritable bowel syndrom.

Feel better.

Hi Cindy,

Many people have diarrhoea on low carb.

The best way to fix it is to add 1 tablespoon of psyllium husks to your daily regimen. Stir into a full glass of water (which you may like to flavour with something such as lemon juice) and drink. Do make sure you are drinking plenty of water, in fact I have a second full glass of water immediately after the psyllium.

Psyllium is also useful for constipation. :daze: It softens the stool, while adding bulk. It is mostly fibre, so all but carb free.

You can also get psyllium as capsules, but it is a much more expensive way of doing it. ;)

HTH!

I will try psyllium (sp?) husks. I don't buy a lot of vitamins and such (never bought fish oil or flaxseed either), but it looks as if I do need a little help. Thanks for the advice, and it's good to know it's not just me! (I do take a multi every day) Btw, should I look for it at a health-food type store?

Hi Cindy,

I'm sure you'll find psyllium husks at a health food shop.
Here, we find it in supermarkets and pharmacies, too.

Cheers!
