Hi
What is the avg weight gain during menstruation? I have put on ~ 3 pounds after dropping 5 pounds. Has anybody experienced more pain than before after starting LCing?
I am expering severe cramping :tears: . I am on induction day 10. I take a multivitamin and calcium supplement.

After 2 weeks of induction I lost 2 pounds. Then after 4 days of my TOM I lost 10 pounds. This is my 2nd TOM while LC and I hope it repeats itself.
My cramping actually went away so I can't help you there.

Cramping was horrible the first cycle I had while Lcing. It got way better after that I usually gain about 3-4 pounds then it is gone after cycle is over. Be patient.

Thanks guys!!
I just wanted to be assured that i was not doing something wrong. I hear increasing calcium intake can help alleviate some pain. Have to find some way to get in more during this period.

Hi
Do you think pain killers will stall my progress? I am in pain and desperately need relief but don't want to stall my progress...

I used to have very severe cramps (LC or non-LC) but haven't since I quit using tampons (I don't use pads either). If anyone is interested, I'll mentioned what I'm using, but otherwise I don't want to squick out the sensitive ;)
Since LC I do get twinges in my mid-section the afternoon I start, but I used to have cramps so bad I'd have to crawl to the bathroom to get to the ibuprofen, if that tells you how much they've improved!

My last TOM the cramps were awful. They were so bad. The first two times they were inbetween. I will tell you how they are today and tomorrow. Having a slight pain right now.
Peace

Well you can imagine my state
This is the first time i am experiencing such severe cramping in the last 15 yrs since my TOM. It is just unbearable. I think i will take a Ibuprofen.
Thanks for your support and sharing your views. :cheer:

I have had awful cramps before low carb and after low carb. I take pain killers, and I haven't had a problem. I wouldn't matter to me if it did stall me, the pain is too much.

I've had terrible menstrual cramps each month for over 25 years. I ate ibuprofins. After low carbing, the pain decreased dramatically. Now there are some months, I don't even have to take a single pain pill during TOM.

Well this month I almost made it without Advils  Out of the 12 month it's probably 3 or 4 that I have horrible cramps. As for water gain between 3 and 3.5lbs :daze:
