What is the average weight that someone loses after finishng induction?

Is 1 pound a day a safe rate to lose?

Hi Jarrod's Dad,

Yes, I recall reading somewhere that Dr Atkins said 1 pound a day is okay to lose.

However, the average amount to lose is expressed as a percentage of the amount you need to lose. 10% during Induction, followd by 5 to 10% a month after that.

That's not to say it's not safe to lose at a faster rate. ;) In fact being a bloke you will almost certainly lose faster than most of us females. Just one of those things.

Hi, it apears that you are a great looser! The advantage you have is that traditionally men loose faster than women, so it is difficult to go by people on this web site as you may be talking to women such as myself, who are loosing very slowly.
Yes, today it is a little frustrating, but I am hangin' in.

I average under a pound per day. Actually, it's about .65 pounds per day. So for the past 30 days I have lost 19 pounds and keep losing weight.

Remember, this is an average. Somedays I lose a pound or a more and other days I lose nothing. I even palateu occasionally and have even gained back a pound here and there, but I stick with my way of eating and don't worry and the weight starts to come off again.

Good luck!
