Anyone else every have diarrhia on Atkins instead of constipation or maybe it's just a coincidence. Something else, today is day 7 on Atkins and I'm still nursing a 6 day old headache. Should this go away soon?

Whenever there is a big change in the types of foods you eat, the body can react with either constipation or diarrhea. The nice thing (if there is a nice thing about either one) is that the remedy is the same....more fiber. You can use plain psyllium husks in water (0 carbs, lots of fiber) but some people find the taste and/or texture objectionable. There are also fiber caplets that would do the job just fine. Beware of fiber supplements that contain sugar such as Metamucil...read the package carefully before you buy it or take it.
As for the headache, if you are going low carb and giving up caffeine, the headache can hang around for a while but another thing to check is whether or not you are drinking enough water. Dehdration can also give you a headache.
Hope you're feeling better on all fronts soon!

Hubby and I are both on induction. He has bouts of diarrhea while I find I'm having opposite effect. His isn't severe or numerous. Think it's just the major changes we've made and our bodies adapting. We are going to try the addition of fiber and maybe tweak some of our meals.

In his case, I've noticed his bouts with cramping and diarrhea occur when he has fairly large amounts of veggies in the raw form. No problems when they are steamed/sauteed/etc.

WOw-5 kids--I have none and I can get worn out very easily -I can't imagine!!!

Anyway I have diarrhea off and on -(and I am going on my 6 th week soon-)alot on this WOE-It is annoying but I think of it as more junk being flushed from my body -Don't know if that is true.
I find that drinking a couple bottles of water helps to calm my stomach down and stop the "runs"

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR WEIGHLOSS!!!
