I have pretty much learned the process that takes place in the body that causes LCing to work----I understand what carbs do, etc. But one thing I'm not certain of and can't find an answer to has to do with fat: What do our bodies do with the huge amount of dietary fat we are eating while LCing? The ketosis that takes places is from the fat emptying out of fat cells----are our bodies burning this stored fat PLUS dietary fat? And if so, that sure seems like a lot of fat calories---far too many to lose weight (let alone just maintain weight). If that is NOT the case, and our bodies are just burning up stored fat in cells, what is happening to all this dietary fat?

Questions, questions......... :D

hi Louisa,

I think you'll find the answer to your questions in this post ... Why eating fat does NOT make you fat with low-carbing (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=263355#post263355). :read:
