I've been searching this forum and the internet about colon cleansing, and I am having a hard time beleiving some of the claims that we have "stuff" lining our intestines and just hanging out and not being eliminated.
I'd like to hear some of your experiences with colon cleansing and the products. What did you take? How did you take it? What were your results?
Inquiring minds, gotta know.... :)

Hi Talon,
I can only tell you what I've learned in my nursing career. And that is that the colon doesn't need any help whatever (unless you are constipated perhaps ;) ).
In fact "cleaning it out" can do a lot of harm. For a start it can interfere with vitamin absorption.
There are certainly no benefits to health by artificially emptying your gut. It is unnatural and, as I said, can be harmful.
There is certainly no truth to stories about gunk sitting there for ages if not removed in this way. The body has devised a perfectly adequate way of removing "toxins." It's called defaecation. ;)

Thanks Rosebud! That is what I was thinking myself. I was looking on "Medical Myth" websites too - they need to add this one. :)

yeah, Rosebud, good answer. I have always suspected those claims were non-sense but you never hear anyone refuting them
