I've seen some crunchies in the health food store, but my husband take the low carb tortilla's (health food store) and fries them in a pan. Viola - crunch tortilla's for dipping in salsa or smothering with cheese.

They are out there. I bought some at a low carb store when I lived in Spartanburg, S.C. but I gotta tell ya.....they are NASTY!!!! Sorry to burst your bubble but there are just some things that ya can't duplicate. But look at it this way, you get a lot of really yummy food that can take it's place. :)

I found some AWESOME LC Tortilla chips at Trader Joes! 15 chips are 8 carbs! They are made from flax and soy, but taste great. Can't tell the difference from a "real" one. Also- it's only 2.39 a big bag.... much better than the exorbatant prices they charge at the health food stores.
Traser Joe's has many nice NEW LC products... they now have pasta... haven't tried it yet.... but it was only 2.29 for a package.
Will let you all know!

The Low-Carb Centre in Vancouver carries them. They might even do mail order!
I just served some at a party last night and they were not bad at all. It was so weird to eat them after being corn chip free for so long.

If you're a Dorito's person, the Atkins Crunchers Nacho flavor isn't bad. The plain ones are also not bad to use for dip.

These aren't exactly tortilla chips but they're the best LC chips I've had. About the same carb count as Atkins Crunchers but a 3.5 oz. bag of these is the same price as one small bag of the Crunchers!

I make some out of LC tortillas I brush them with olive oil and spices and cut them into pieces and bake them on stoneware I got this stoneware from the pampered chef my neighbor sells them but the stuff is great and they come out really crispy and perfect for me.

Is Trader Joes online? I would love to be able to do Nacho's again.
