As a caged chimpanzee learns to fling it own feces so
www.food.gov.uk flings bias and slovenly misinformation.

Go to the vitamin K page and "they" claim the one only needs 1
microgram of vitamin K a day. This isn't even the moronically
low rda/rdi value or 120 micrograms for males and 90 mcgs for
females. Values that themselves are too low to ensure full
carboxylation of matrix Gla-protein (MGP). These values result
in undercarboxylation of MGP which is risk factor for vascular
calcification and osteoporosis. Indeed there is a case for the
RDI for a healthy average sized individual needing 375
microgram of K for optimum health. Average individual becomes
markedly depleted in less than 17 days on a low vitamin K
regimen. One milligram per day give over the course of three
years greatly slows the progression of osteoporosis. Moreover,
vitamin K is a potent antioxidant that prevents lipid
peroxidation.
