Don,

BREAKFAST

CNN: "eat scrambled eggs with cheese in the mourning" Dr
Atkins on Larry King Show.

Boiled egg

boil a handful of eggs beforehand (overnight), stick them in
the fridge and eat them for breakfast with a littl salt and
pepper. Be careful about boiling too many eggs at once,I dont
know how long you can keep boiled eggs in the fridge.

Pickled Egg

Althernatively you can try making boiled egg preserved in
vineger. Just hard boil the eggs (Remember it has to be hard
boiled otherwise the eggs will break in the vineger) cool
and then put them in a large jar with plain vineger, enough
to cover. White wine preferable. Your suppose to wait 2
weeks before you try one but theres no harm eating them
straight away.

The great thing about pickled vineger is that you can keep it
at room temperature. But away from direct sun light. And you
can make as many as you want depending on the size of the jar.

Yes, vineger may be high in carbs (I dont really know! you can
check nutritional data on www.walford.com, food search
engine). But it is an alternative. And your not going to be
drinking the solution.

Canned Sardines

It might taste bad at first.

Block of cheese

Just cut them and eat.

SNACKS

Sesame seeds,almonds, and sunflower seeds.

You can mix them or go solo.

The nuts above are about 20g of Carb per 100g.

200g of nuts is more then enough for me. You can put it in
ziplock bag and put a plastic spoon inside for easy access.

Sunflower seed is my choice because its cheap and has high
nutrition content. It may not taste as good as almonds but
almonds are pretty pricy.

sesame seeds (the white dry ones) are good in Iron and
Calcium. But you need a spoon because they're so small. And
you need to chew extra hard.

Dr. Atkins said (on CNN) he eats Brazil nuts (13g of Carb per
100g) but not Cashew (27g of carb per 100g) because of the
high carb content.

Considering that its high in fat and also calories (approx.
580cal per
100g) you do get full quite easily, well you should really.

I know the feeling of hunger you get from eating nuts. There
are tips to overcome the instant craving though.

101) Drink water/Coffee/tea with your nuts

I read somewhere that when you consume fat (which nuts are
high in) you need alot of water to make use of the energy from
the fat. You dont need to gulp down huge quantities of water
as you eat but I think it might help. It does for me at least.

102) Chew, Chew, Chew

This is from experience as well. You know how people always
say you sould chew well? You just have to make sure you take
your time when eating the food. Some people say you should
bite 50 times for every mouthful, although i cant see myself
doing this. if you take your time eating, chances are you will
end up chewing more.

103)Take more nuts then you need.

I thinks its best to give in to the hunger in the mourning.
You can always leave some behind. You can always eat less in
the afternoon,evening.

Hope this helps. Based on experience. Got all the data from
www.walford.com Not soliciting you to reduce calories
