Hi peoples,
question I've been on and off the atkins for about 20 years and I have 6 fibroids one of which is of significant size about a 4 month pregnancy and I will be operated on in july but my question is this is my 2nd day of induction and I'm experiencing quite a bit of nausea and big time bloatiness and I can't tell if it's my tumors or the diet that's causing it. I just can't remember having so much bloatiness before during induction does this sound like a norm or what the heck???

I don't know why you are getting bloated. Perhaps its something to do with the fibroids.

Have you read Dr. Lees's book "What you doctor may not tell you about Premenopause?" He does have a section in there about fibroids, along with recommendations. If you would like, you can email me privately and I can give you some of his info, or you can get the book. Either way, have you consulted your doctor about changing diets prior to surgery?

I think the bloating most certainly has to do with the fibroids because I have good and bad days and no I haven't mentioned the diet to my dr. due to the fact he will recommend a low calorie diet to me and that will never work for me, most certainly a diet full of vegetables and salads would not hurt me but benefit me but I just can't do those. It's not that long til my surgery I think I will just keep the atkins plan as I have lost 4 pounds the first week and I want to continue with the weight loss even with the bloating. thanks for your suggestion :) Once I get the surgery done I'm sure I will feel 100% better.
