I bought one at H&M when i was in NYC and like it because it
fit well around the waist. however, i couldn't find similar
cloths that fit the same in houston(banana republic, j crew,
AX....) all the shirts they have are loose in the waist. i'm
muscular build with slim waist and the shirts with loose waist
look funny when i tuck them in. any suggestions? TIA

Do a web search for "fitted shirts" or "fitted dress shirts"
(including quote marks) and take your pick. Fitted is *not*
the same thing as "athletic fit" shirts, which are less
tapered than fitted shirts.

If you're an extreme bodybuilder the best option is to get
your shirts custom made.

Yup... I agree. Athletic fit are not as tapered as the
"fitted". One way of getting around it is to tuck in the loose
cloth more towards the back.

I'll bet Gregg Valentino (http://www.bicepmania.net) has a
*real* tough time finding shirts with sleeves that fit ...

Try lands end catalog. They have slim fit shirts. If that
doesn't work, go to a tailor. I had shirts tapered for three
bucks a shirt. Of course that was many years ago. I also
bought custom made shirts.

Take a closer look at AX, especially the shirts labeled as
either "slim fit" or "close body fit". They don't have much
in the way of long sleeve, button down shirts, so it will
still be a struggle.

Another option is Structure's 1MX line of shirts. They have
a slim fit group of these which should taper at the chest
and waist pretty nicely. If the shirts aren't labeled
clearly, then ask a staff member for help in distinguishing
between regular fit and slim fit (by examining the stitch on
the collars). The one other thing on 1MX is that I think
sleeve length is about the same regardless of size and that
the (S, M, L) sizes refer to the chest/waist sizes.

Try this place: http://www.ripleyshirt.com/

I bought there for years. Shirts look great. You just have to
buy 4 at a time since they are custom.
