Has anybody every did a colon detox. Herbs/Colonic cleansing?

I heard its very good for cleaning out the toxins in your body and not to mention all the meals that don't get flushed out. That's if you're not having a bowel movement 2-3 times a day. Sorry, if it sounds gross.

I was planning on going to a certified herbalist/nutritionalist for this process. It's a 4 week program of detox, blood purifying, and a colonic treatment.

Any advice would be welcome.

How do they feel about your doing Atkins, I wonder?

Ironically, they don't like you doing adkins. But, the program they advocate does not include bread, pasta, or refine sugar. You can have apples and pears on the program. It's a modified version of Adkins.

I did the colon/detox thing years ago. It's a great way to clean out your system.

Go for it!!

i bought a kit at the drug store adn was very happy with the results
it ummm (how to put this nicely) removes all the "stuff" that is in your colon and lower intestines - "stuff" which is added pounds that are doing nothing!

i have heard that somepeople have up to 30lbs of "stuff" that has been sitting and building up for years

it was a 2 week program and if you drink lotsa water it should be easier ...

What was the product? And did it give you the runs for two weeks?

It's a 4 week program.

week 1 - Internal cleanser AM/PM - Tea/Pills
Went to the bathroom 4-5 per day, but didn't get the runs. It was actually a lot of waste. Stomach cramped a little.

Week 2 - Herbal Diuretic Tablets and Honey Cider Tables (no over active bathroom activity. I'm on week 2

Week 3 - Oak Bran and Parcley pills

Week 4 - Blood purifiers (tea and pills am & pm)

During week 4 I get a colonic cleaning

The nutritionalist/herbalist (certified) recommends this every quarter.
