I've got a cold right now and have been taking Dayquil and Nyquil to be more comfortable. I know Dr. Atkins said that certain meds interfere with weight loss. Does anyone know if these products are a problem?
Thanks

On the Atkins website it says that many "cough syrups" contain a lot of sugar and I've heard the same about Nyquil. Whenever you're in doubt about a product, see if they have and 800 number on the label to call with questions.
Any other medication you could take in pill form would be a better alternative, however, Atkins also says that antihistamines can slow down weight loss, but those are usually for allergies, not colds.
