I was on the Atkins diet previously and lost about 22lbs. I had to stop because my stomach wouldn't take all that protein and fats. Can someone please help me to work out a diet that I can loose weight and still feel satisfied. Thanks for any help.

Hi Bebby!
Low carbing doesn't have to be high protein, and in fact really shouldn't be but it does have to be higher fat out of necessity. Your calories have to come from some place and high amounts of carbs are out if you are a diabetic interested in decent control of your blood sugars.
There are several good books on the market about low carbing for diabetics. The first is Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution and his website is www.diabetes-normalsugars.com
Several chapters of the book are available to print and read at your leisure including a couple on diet and losing weight.
The second book I would recommend is The Schwarzbein Principle. Lots of good advice for diabetics there as well.
